NEW! This spiral is part of my new custom line, designed with Santa Fe sculptor Stephanie Huerta. If you come to Northern New Mexico, you can hike up into the mountains and see spirals just like this etched on rock faces—carved petroglyphs left by the ancient Anasazi Indians. This universal symbol can also be seen throughout nature: the whirls of our fingerprints, the arms of galaxies, the shapes of seashells and flowers. Did those ancient artists observe spirals in nature? Did they attach special meaning to the spiral, such as continual change, the evolution of the universe, the womb--as other cultures have? I certainly don’t know the answer, but it’s lovely to ponder while using this lotion bar, suitable for the men in your life, as well as every sister, daughter, mother and best friend!
Most salves come in a tin, but with my Lotion Bar you just hold the bar between your hands and rub— rub it anyplace where your dry skin needs soothing. While you are enjoying the sensual process of rubbing the bar (rather than digging some hand balm out of a container) the natural oils actually melt from the heat of your skin, absorbing quickly to moisturize dry skin and soothe chapped lips, softening and nourishing your hands and body. My lotion bars are uniquely suited for airline travel (a solid lotion!), massage, cuticle care, dry elbows and heels, cracked fingers and your most stubborn dry skin.
