NEW! This gorgeous, exclusive Milk and Honey image of a honey bee alighting on a sunflower was designed with Santa Fe sculptor Stephanie Huerta. Anyone from Northern New Mexico would recognize this image, as bees busy themselves at the abundance of sunflowers that grow here in summer--in cultivated, elegant gardens and by roadsides.
Why use this goat milk soap? Goat milk has a pH level very close to the skin\'s own pH, and contains many vitamins, proteins and minerals that nourish and rejuvenate the skin.
Honey and olive oil hydrate and soothe the skin, laying down a clear, protective film that helps the skin maintain its moisture while still allowing the skin to breathe.
Infusing the olive oil with organic calendula flowers gives the soap a healing quality: calendula is a powerful herb used to treat skin ailments from dryness and itching to rashes and burns.
These soaps have a strong lather thanks to the coconut oil, and will last a long time due to the beeswax and palm oil, which make a harder bar.
Because goat milk and olive oil, the two largest ingredients in my soap, are so mild and non-irritating, and are scented only with pure essential oils—I never use artificial or synthetic fragrances!—people with sensitive skin, including babies, can also enjoy them.
